Bridget G. McCourt Joins McCarthy Lebit as Litigation Associate

McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA is pleased to announce that Bridget G. McCourt has successfully passed the Ohio Bar Exam and has joined the firm’s Litigation group as an Associate attorney.

Bridget’s employment with McCarthy Lebit began well before she became an attorney. Her experience has touched nearly every corner of the firm, with her roles evolving from office clerk to administrative assistant, and ultimately to law clerk during her time in law school. Bridget credits the firm’s supportive and collaborative environment for providing experiences that have allowed her to build a strong foundation for her legal career, from gaining firsthand insight into the day-to-day operations of a law firm to working alongside attorneys and gaining exposure to the legal matters they handle. These experiences have given Bridget a well-rounded perspective on the profession and helped prepare her for her most recent MLCL role as an attorney.

As an addition to the Litigation group, Bridget will work alongside the firm’s litigators on a variety of civil litigation matters. Her work will involve legal research, case preparation, discovery, motion practice, and other aspects of the litigation process as she contributes to matters at various stages of a dispute. Bridget will draw on her strong legal research and writing skills to help address the legal and practical considerations presented by each matter and support the firm’s efforts on behalf of its clients.

“Congratulations to Bridget on this tremendous accomplishment. It has been wonderful to watch her legal career unfold during her time at McCarthy Lebit. She has demonstrated the dedication, talent, and commitment that will serve her well as she begins this next chapter. We are thrilled to welcome her as an attorney of the firm, and we look forward to all she will accomplish,” said Co-Managing Principal Charles Nemer.

Bridget earned her bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and her Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University College of Law. During law school, she demonstrated a strong record of academic achievement, earning a place on the Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters, publishing a student note in the Cleveland State Law Review, receiving the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Pretrial Practice, and graduating magna cum laude.

“I am thrilled to officially begin my next chapter as an Associate at McCarthy Lebit. This milestone reflects years of hard work and dedication, and I am grateful to everyone who supported me. I look forward to learning from and collaborating with my distinguished colleagues while contributing to the firm’s commitment to delivering exceptional results to our clients,” shared Bridget McCourt.
