Alternative Dispute Resolution

Today, many contracts provide for resolution of disputes through arbitration, mediation, or other methods of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and frequently disputes are amenable to early resolution through mediation or negotiation. Our litigators recognize that not all cases are meant to be tried. Additionally, they recognize, and advise our clients as such, that ADR can be more cost-effective and advantageous in resolving a conflict prior to, or instead of, litigation.

Who We Are

The attorneys in our Alternative Dispute Resolution practice are seasoned litigators with decades of valuable trial experience that they leverage to represent clients across a broad range of domestic arbitration or mediation proceedings. Many of our litigators act as arbitrators for specific types of cases in which they have substantial expertise, affording them more freedom and flexibility to determine outcomes, often not available in traditional litigation. Many proponents of arbitration consider the process more efficient than litigation.

How We Help

We represent our clients through mediation or arbitration as their legal counsel, or we can act as the third-party neutral for a wide range of matters that include business and commercial litigation, construction claims, wrongful death & personal injury matters, employment contracts, and insurance coverage disputes. Our team has counseled clients toward resolution of issues related to partnership, shareholder, real estate, and property disputes. Additionally, we can assist with intra-family probate conflicts, legal & medical malpractice claims, and claims arising from product liability disputes.

Who We Represent

Our ADR practice serves anyone who may be party to a dispute that is best suited for ADR strategies, including individuals and businesses.

Recognizing the opportunity to seize control of their legal fates, several of our litigation clients have found the prospect of alternative dispute resolution to be a more practical and expeditious solution, and often at a considerable cost-savings.

If you or your business are stuck in a dispute that’s going nowhere, alternative dispute resolution may be a viable option for your unique situation.
