McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA is pleased to announce the addition of Michael P. O’Neil to the firm. Michael has joined the firm’s Employment group as an Associate attorney.
Michael’s journey at McCarthy Lebit began in 2021, when he joined as an operations assistant during his undergraduate breaks at Miami University. His role then evolved to law clerk while attending law school at Cleveland State University College of Law. During this time, Michael collaborated closely with attorneys across multiple practice areas, gaining valuable firsthand experience. Through his work, he discovered that employment law was the area where his skills and interests could be most effectively applied to make a meaningful impact.
As an addition to the Employment group, Michael will contribute to the firm’s esteemed practice by supporting both litigation and advisory matters. He assists clients with workplace disputes and compliance issues and advises the firm’s corporate clients on employment law compliance and best practices.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, OH, before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University College of Law. During law school, Michael distinguished himself as a member of the Cleveland State University College of Law Moot Court Team, where he refined his advocacy and legal writing skills. He also earned two CALI Excellence for the Future High A Awards, one in Employment Discrimination and another in Labor Law, in recognition of his exceptional academic performance in these areas of law.
“I’m overjoyed to officially begin my journey as an Associate at McCarthy Lebit. The path from law school to this point has been filled with immense learning and growth. I could not be more excited to continue working alongside such a talented and respected group of colleagues, at a firm with a distinguished legacy in the Northeast Ohio community and beyond,” shared Michael O’Neil.
