Christine N. Townsend Joins McCarthy Lebit as Of Counsel Attorney

McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA is pleased to announce the addition of Christine N. Townsend to the firm. Christine will be joining the firm’s Taxation and Transactions groups as Of Counsel.

Christine possesses a diverse legal background and extensive tax experience, advising corporate and individual clients on a wide range of transactional matters, with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions, business structuring, and tax planning. She provides clients with strategic, business-focused solutions that minimize risk and maximize value.

Prior to joining the firm, Christine spent four years at a Big Four accounting firm, where she was a member of the M&A tax group. She then continued her career as a tax manager at another leading global professional services firm, focusing on M&A tax strategy.

Christine obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware where she double majored in history and criminal justice with a concentration in law and society. She attended law school at New England Law in Boston where she primarily focused on business courses, including tax, wills, trusts, and estates, uniform commercial code sales and secured transactions, real estate, contracts drafting, and personal income tax. Upon receiving her Juris Doctor degree, she went on to earn her LL.M in Taxation from Boston University School of Law and became a tax specialist.
