Robert also handles inter partes review and reexamination proceedings, and is experienced in negotiating contracts, including joint development agreements. His acumen extends to patent portfolio analysis, curation, and due diligence, as well as conducting prior art searches. Robert also offers comprehensive trademark advice and prosecution services, and manages copyright licensing matters. Additionally, Robert has extensive experience in patent litigation, representing clients in complex legal disputes over patent rights and ensuring the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property.
Robert is experienced with Artificial Intelligence technology, ranging from more traditional machine learning and deep learning models and systems to generative AI, and assists clients in understanding and leveraging AI for their business operations. He advises clients on regulatory strategy and compliance, intellectual property matters, and agreements. He provides practical and forward-thinking advice to clients operating in this rapidly evolving space.

After graduating from Northwestern University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Robert worked as a research and process engineer for Avery Dennison Corporation where he specialized in adhesive chemistry and coating system fluid mechanics. Robert then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He began his legal career practicing in law firms in New York City and Cleveland and also practiced as senior in-house patent counsel to ABB, Inc.
