Ohio Supreme Court Appoints Christian Patno to Commission on Rules of Practice & Procedure

McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA is pleased to announce that the Ohio Supreme Court Justices met and unanimously appointed and approved Christian R. Patno to a three-year term to the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on the Rules of Practice & Procedure. Chris was appointed on March 2, 2023 and his term will be served from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025.

The Commission is established by the Supreme Court to assist the Court in exercising the rule-making powers granted [Article IV, Section 5(B)] in the Ohio Constitution. The Commission reviews all rules governing practice and procedure in Ohio Courts. Furthermore, the Commission receives and considers proposed rules or amendments and recommends rules and amendments to the Supreme Court. Chris will serve on the Civil and Evidence committees during his time on the Commission.

Chris is a Principal at McCarthy Lebit, as well as head of the firm’s Personal Injury & Wrongful Death practice group. He has over 30 years of distinguished, complex trial experience, and is nationally recognized for his work on catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and defamation matters. Chris is also currently the President-Elect for the Ohio Association for Justice and an officer with the American Board of Trial Advocates.
