McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA is pleased to announce that the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s Board of Governors has appointed Hugh Berkson, Principal attorney and head of the firm’s Investor Claims practice group, to serve a three-year term on FINRA’s National Arbitration and Mediation Committee (NAMC).
The NAMC is responsible for making recommendations to FINRA regarding the recruitment, qualification, training, and evaluation of arbitrators and mediators. Additionally, the Committee makes recommendations on rules, regulations, and procedures that govern the conduct of arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution matters before FINRA.
In this role as a member of the FINRA National Arbitration and Mediation Committee, Hugh will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of arbitration and mediation processes within the brokerage industry.
