McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA is pleased to announce the addition of George H. Carr to the firm. George has joined the firm’s Litigation group as a Principal attorney.
With nearly 30 years of experience, George is a seasoned litigator and dispute resolution attorney with significant trial and appellate experience. He represents title insurance companies, real estate developers, businesses, and other clients in complex real estate and commercial matters, including disputes involving title, land use, development, contracts, business governance, fiduciary duties, and professional liability. His experience spans a broad range of complex disputes, enabling him to assess legal and business considerations, develop practical strategies, and pursue favorable resolutions through litigation, negotiation, mediation, and other forms of dispute resolution.
As a member of McCarthy Lebit’s Litigation group, George strengthens the firm’s capabilities in real estate, construction, commercial, and professional liability matters. In addition to his litigation practice, he advises clients on transactional and business matters, including real estate agreements and business and entity issues. His combined litigation and transactional experience allow him to provide strategic guidance at every stage of a matter, from structuring and advising on transactions to resolving disputes when they arise.
Complementing his legal practice, George is an experienced educator and speaker on real estate and legal issues. He has presented continuing education programs for real estate professionals addressing fair housing and civil rights in the context of commercial real estate, as well as developments in real estate law. His programs have addressed the practical application of these laws, risk management, potential liability, enforcement trends, and emerging issues affecting real estate professionals. He has also presented on litigation, professional liability, risk management, and other legal topics to professional and industry organizations.

George earned his Bachelor of Music, cum laude, from Ohio State University before earning his Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University College of Law. He was admitted to practice law in both Ohio and Colorado.
