Sami Z. Farhat is Of Counsel in the Litigation and Real Estate & Construction groups at McCarthy Lebit. With a decade of experience handling complex legal disputes, his practice spans a broad spectrum of general litigation, with a primary focus on business, commercial, and construction litigation. He represents business owners, homeowners, contractors, and industry professionals in matters ranging from contract disputes and real estate conflicts to regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

Over the past several years, Sami devoted his practice to construction litigation, acquiring extensive insight into the nuances of the industry. His work includes representing clients on matters ranging from home remodeling projects to new home construction defects, and multi-million-dollar commercial construction matters. Sami gained particular niche experience in key regulatory areas relating to home construction, including the Consumer Sales Practices Act, the Home Construction Service Suppliers’ Act, and the Home Solicitation Sales Act. As a complement to his work in this area, his background in creditors’ rights work and judgment enforcement further strengthens his ability to advocate for clients needing guidance on financial and contractual disputes.

Sami has served as lead counsel in multiple arbitration proceedings, achieving favorable outcomes for both homeowners and contractors. He has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as before arbitration panels, demonstrating his depth of experience and strategic advocacy in complex disputes.
