M. Logan O'Connor

Overview

Logan O’Connor is Of Counsel in the Litigation and Creditor & Debtor Rights groups at McCarthy Lebit where he concentrates his legal practice on commercial litigation, creditors' rights, fraud-related disputes, and complex civil litigation.

Logan represents clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes and matters involving fraud. He works with businesses and individuals facing high-stakes legal challenges, applying his litigation experience to develop strategies tailored to each client's unique goals and circumstances. His experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants has provided him with a well-rounded perspective on dispute resolution and courtroom advocacy.

Admitted to the bar in December of 2020, Logan has already obtained over $20 million of litigation judgments and settlements. He is an indispensable member of the legal team responsible for dismantling the AEM Services Ponzi scheme. Logan enjoys the competitive nature of litigation, and his analytical abilities and creativity allow him to excel in the realm of bankruptcy law. He looks forward to further developing his skills so he can better assist his clients with achieving their goals.

During law school, he argued cases before the Eighth District Court of Appeals, drafted a brief submitted to the Supreme Court of Ohio, and assisted refugees while documenting human rights issues through work connected to the United Nations. These experiences, combined with his business background, inform his approach to complex commercial matters and his commitment to providing thoughtful, client-focused representation.

Logan is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club. He is also deeply involved in the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, graduating from its Leadership Academy in 2025. He also serves on the CMBA’s Bankruptcy Section Executive Committee.  Through these organizations, he remains engaged with the legal and professional communities while continuing to build relationships, expand his professional knowledge, and contribute to the advancement of the profession.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Wabash College, Logan earned his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was a recipient of the Stephanie Tubbs-Jones Public Interest Scholarship, awarded to only twelve students in each class in recognition of their commitment to public interest law. He also interned at the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic, a legal clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law that provides students with hands-on experience representing clients while delivering legal services to individuals and communities in need.
