Overview
Alexandra C. Eckrich is Of Counsel in the Litigation practice group at McCarthy Lebit. Her litigation practice covers a broad range of areas, including intricate commercial litigation, management of extensive discovery and electronically stored information (ESI), labor and employment disputes, and insurance disputes.
She takes a hands-on role in every phase of case management, from daily oversight to strategic planning. Alexandra prioritizes clear, ongoing communication with clients, ensuring they fully understand potential risks and legal pathways. Her client-centric approach fosters confidence and informed decision-making throughout the lifecycle of complex civil and business matters.
Alexandra has gained diverse professional experience spanning multiple sectors, including government agencies, private companies, and charitable foundations. She has held law clerk roles with the Coast Guard Legal Office in Cleveland, the Air Force’s Youngstown 910th Airlift Wing Legal Office, and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. Additionally, Alexandra has a background in victim advocacy and service with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). She has worked directly with vulnerable populations to ensure their voices were heard and their best interests were protected in legal proceedings. She continues this commitment through her advocacy in sexual crime litigation, where she works to protect and advance the rights of victims.
Committed to advancing her litigation and leadership abilities, Alexandra has pursued rigorous professional development opportunities to sharpen her skills and expand her influence. In 2023, she completed the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) Deposition Skills Institute, a program designed to enhance litigators’ advocacy and trial techniques. Additionally, Alexandra graduated from the 2024 Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC) Ladder Down Cleveland program, a year-long initiative dedicated to empowering women lawyers through leadership training, business development, and mentorship. These experiences have equipped her with both the practical tools and the strategic insight to excel as a litigator and emerging leader in the legal community.
After earning her undergraduate degree from Ohio State University, Alexandra obtained her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law. She remains actively involved with her law school alma mater as an assistant coach for the University of Akron’s Trial Advocacy Program, mentoring teams that compete in competitions across the country.
